Prof. Jiunn-Hong Kang
(MD, PhD)
Prof. Jiunn-Hong Kang completed a medical doctorate programme and a PhD in biomedical engineering at National Taiwan University.
He is currently the Dean of the College of Biomedical Engineering at Taipei Medical University and the Associate Director of the TMU Research Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Health. In addition, he holds a joint appointment as a Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the International Master/Ph.D. programme in Medicine, the Professional Master Program in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, and the Master programme in Long-term Care.
His research focuses on applying an engineering perspective to assist rehabilitation, including areas such as stroke and chronic pain. His research files include brain neuron imaging to identify pain disorders and stroke, using new technology (such as wearable devices and markerless system) to conduct motion analysis during rehabilitation, and the establishment of medical prediction models using large clinical databases.
